Email protection

Your email address, harder to fake.

Once protection is on, inboxes are told to junk fakes of your exact address, and your real emails are less likely to land in spam.

Fixed price agreed in writing before we start. No VAT is added: the price shown is what you pay.

What email protection does

Email protection is three settings on your domain that prove an email really comes from you.

SPF lists who may send email for your domain.

DKIM signs each email.

DMARC tells inboxes what to do with emails that fail, and sends you reports.

Together they let inboxes junk emails that fake your exact address; they do not stop look-alike addresses or a hacked mailbox.

What a fake email in your name costs

  • The cost is a payment, not a fine.

    • In Ireland, banks in BPFI's FraudSMART programme see average losses of over €22,000 per email-scam incident (27 March 2026).
    • These scams often start with a supplier's email that was hacked or closely copied.
    • Email protection closes one route: fakes of your exact address.

  • Your real emails can go to spam.

    • Gmail says email that is not authenticated might be marked as spam or rejected.

  • What this does not cover: look-alike addresses (yourfirm-ie.com) and a mailbox someone has logged into.

    • For those, confirm any change of bank details by phone, on a number you already have.

Who it is for

  • Firms that send invoices, quotes or payment details by email

    Accountants, solicitors, clinics, agencies, trades.

  • If your address ends in @gmail.com or @outlook.com

These settings belong to Google or Microsoft, and there is nothing for us to set up.

Not included

Set up and watched

  • Buying or registering domains
  • Fixing your email software or mailbox
  • Same-week alerts
  • A 3rd or later new sending tool in the same month (quoted first)

Setup only

  • Buying or registering domains
  • Fixing your email software or mailbox

How it works

  1. You order

Send us one invite to your domain settings (if your provider has none, the call covers it), and join a call of up to 20 minutes where you log in to your email. We never ask for your password.

  2. Week 1

We list the tools that send email for you (up to 3 included), add the settings and start protection in report-only mode. Inboxes treat your email as before.

  3. Day 30

Once the reports show your real email passes, we switch the protection on. Inboxes are then told to send fakes of your exact address to junk.

  4. Every month, with the watch

We read the reports, add up to 2 new sending tools a month and send you a plain-words note. Once every real sender passes, your team does not post to email discussion lists and you say go, we move you to the strongest step: inboxes are asked to refuse fakes.

Questions before you start

Does the law require these settings?

No law names them for small firms in Ireland or the UK. GDPR asks for security that fits the risk (Article 32). Gmail and Yahoo require SPF or DKIM from every sender, and all three from bulk senders (for Gmail, more than 5,000 emails a day); those are their own rules, not law. Sources: GDPR Article 32, UK GDPR Article 32, Google, Yahoo (checked 21 October 2026).

What do you need from me?

One invite to your domain settings (a call instead, if your provider has none), a call of up to 20 minutes where you log in to your email account, and a short follow-up of up to 5 minutes if a setting has not updated yet and a yes to the list of tools we find that send email for you. With the watch, also a message to us before you send email from a new tool.

What is in the monthly note?

Where your protection stands and the next step, how many of your emails Google, Microsoft and other report senders checked, and how many passed, what we changed, and anything you need to do.

I have an IT provider. Do I need you?

Maybe not. Run the free email check and show them the result. If it finds nothing for us to fix, you need nothing from us.
